cheap hosting
tornbttrflywings asked:

I own a domain that gets very little traffic, I use it to refer people to my work, so I only get a few hits per month. I currently host with godaddy but I don't want to spend that much any more, what are the cheapest hosting prices out there?

Go daddy is the cheapest one I've found…but it's still too much and I don't want to have the go daddy ads at the top of my page either…HELP!

Thank you :)
I already HAVE godaddy and I want something cheaper. Please do not point me towards go daddy like several already have :) I'm looking for someone cheaper. Thank you!

You could install Apache on your machine and host the site yourself. Then just point your Go Daddy domain name to your IP address. This assumes of course that your computer is always connected to the internet. When the DHCP server assigns you a new IP you'll have to update Go Daddy but if you're not getting a lot of traffic then that shouldn't be a problem. This is course if the cheapest way to have an AD free web site. You could even go so far as to drop your domain name and use dyndns and then you wouldn't have to pay the $10 a year for a domain name.

I recommend They are one of the leading European web hosting companies, currently hosting over 500 000 websites. They have plans starting from $1.45/month. Every plan includes Photo Gallery, WebEditor (so you can build a website without knowledge of HTML), Google Adwords coupon (so you can advertise your website on google for free) and a lot more. Check them out.
